Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, in Irvine, (Estill County), Kentucky, Interfaith Wellness Ministry, Inc. provides a "Gathering Place" for peace and reflection, individual health counseling, and health education and services to rural churches and to the community. Founded by Sr. Loretta Spotila , CSA in 1997, this ministry helps people integrate faith and well-being in their daily lives and promotes the wholeness of body, mind, and spirit. Healthy families and healthy congregations help create a healthier community.
Sister Loretta Spotila
is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and has been a member of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine for over 40 years. Sister Loretta has been a Registered Nurse for over 35 years and received a Masters Degree in Nursing from the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, in 1973.
